Pigs In Blankets

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup grated cheese
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon pimiento
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1 egg
1/2 cup milk

Mix and shape in rolls the size of 1/2 of a banana. Put 1/2 slice of bacon around each. Place in baking pan and put in a little water. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

DEPRESSION DINNER

3 lb. lean ground beef
4 lg. carrots, grated
1 lg. onion, grated
2 med. potatoes, grated
2 eggs
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tbsp. salt
14 slices bacon

Mix beef, carrots, onion, potatoes, eggs, garlic, salt and pepper. Divide and form into 14 patties. Wrap and slice of bacon around edge of each: secure with toothpicks. Broil or grill both sides to desired doneness. Remove picks. Garnish with parsley. Makes 14 servings.
